Top 10 Firms Gain Rs 2.35 Lakh Crore in Market Cap, Reliance Industries Leads
Mumbai: The top 10 most valued companies collectively gained Rs 2,34,565.53 crore in market capitalization last week. Reliance Industries led the gain with a jump of Rs 69,556.91 crore.
The surge was driven by the upbeat momentum in the equity market. The BSE benchmark index rose by 1,650.73 points, registering a 2% increase.
Top Gainers:
- Reliance Industries: Market cap jumped to Rs 20,51,590.51 crore.
- Bharti Airtel: Valuation surged to Rs 11,56,329.94 crore.
- HDFC Bank: Market cap rallied to Rs 15,44,624.52 crore.
Other Gainers:
- Bajaj Finance: Market cap zoomed to Rs 5,88,213.55 crore.
- ICICI Bank: Market cap edged higher to Rs 10,43,037.49 crore.
- LIC: Valuation climbed to Rs 6,05,523.65 crore.
Only Laggard:
- Infosys: Market cap declined by Rs 5,494.8 crore to Rs 6,68,256.29 crore.
