Shares Surge on NSE’s Futures and Options Addition
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced the addition of eight stocks to its futures and options (F&O) segment. This change will be effective from May 30, 2025. Following this update, shares of select counters rallied up to 10% during Monday’s trading session.
Top Gainers:
- Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL): Surged 10.25% to Rs 356.70, with a market capitalization of approximately Rs 74,000 crore. RVNL has been performing well, with a 113% increase in stock price over the last six months.
- Kaynes Technologies: Rose 6% to Rs 6,019.90, with a market capitalization of around Rs 40,000 crore.
- Bharat Dynamics: Gained 5% to Rs 1,607.80.
- Mankind Pharma: Increased 5% to Rs 2,526.
- Uno Minda: Jumped nearly 5% to Rs 954.55, with a total valuation of around Rs 55,000 crore.
Other Stocks:
- Fortis Healthcare: Up 2% to Rs 679.45.
- Piramal Pharma: Rose 2% to Rs 213.65.
- Mazagon Dock: Initially gained but later traded in red.
The NSE’s decision was made through two separate circulars. They were dated May 7 and May 9. The market lot and scheme of strikes will be announced on May 29, 2025.
